You can watch a short video on Kinderuni@IST2020 with statements of IST2020 keynote speakers here

Sandra (10, female, loves to spend time with her dog): “There are only e-cars in my city of the future”

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I’d support the organic famers”

Nina (7, female, loves painting and writing stories): “My sustainable city of the future without emissions”

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I would want cars to no longer have so many emissions. The best thing to do is to set a speed limit, then there will be fewer emissions . If the cars are slowed down, then there won’t be accidents anymore”

Aditi (9, female, loves to read Harry Potter)

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I would open up a public park”

Katharina (11, female, loves acting): “My sustainable city has solar energy and a green facade for cooling”

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I would probably change something about the Austrian school system because I find it unfair that the grades are measured by the average of the class and that makes it much more difficult for students from good classes to get good grades.”

Liam (7, male, loves to do sports, travel and to cuddle his cat): “Meadow city is placed at the water to cool the city down. There are many plants in the city to make the air clean.”

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I’d abolish factory farming because I am a vegetarian and animals are important to me. I’d also make flights more expensive and trains cheaper (although I like to travel myself)”

Aaron (10, male, loves to play tennis, play with lego and his smartphone): “The city of hydropower”

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I’d get rid of plastic bottles and replace them with glass or deposit bottles.”

Magalie (7, female, loves to read, do sports and meet her friends): “Sun city is placed in the mountains because they cool down in summer and heat up in winter. Buildings are made of clay and have solar panels. People grow crops in their garden”

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I’d make the packaging more environmentally friendly and increase the price of animal products (I’m a vegetarian). I’d abolish racism and all people should be given equal rights. Diversity is great.”

Anna (13, female, loves gymnastics): “A green technology city with green rooftops, solar panels as well as drones and robots”

“If I were Chancellor of Austria for one day, I’d provide free bikes and scooters for all pupils.”
